RIGHTS FOR VAPERS
Are you a vaper? Do you have a loved-one who vapes? Do you support choice? Have your voice heard.
THE ISSUE
Late last year, the federal government proposed a new set of regulations on vape products. The stated goal of these regulations is to reduce youth vaping. Although the goal is good, the proposed regulations would limit the options for many smokers who are looking for an alternative to smoking and drive current vapers back to smoking. It is vital to have a range of nicotine levels.
SUMMARY OF REGULATIONS
Here is a summary of the proposed regulations that can be found on Health Canada’s website:
Establish a maximum nicotine concentration of 20 mg/mL for vaping products manufactured or imported for sale in Canada.
Prohibit a nicotine concentration of 66 mg/mL or more in vaping products intended for export.
Furthermore, Health Canada is “considering to further restrict flavours in vaping products.”
